Cold Drink. Warm Story.
Custom Stubby Coolers & Personalised Stubby Holders, Handmade on the Gold Coast

The best gifts aren’t the most expensive — they’re the ones that make someone feel seen. A nickname only three people know. A private joke from twenty years ago. The dog’s name in exactly the right font.
We handmake every stubby cooler and personalised stubby holder on the Gold Coast using premium materials, sublimation printing for colours that won’t fade, and construction that holds up to years of hard use. No shortcuts. No bulk imports. Done right, one at a time.
Five steps from your first message to the box on your doorstep — and you hear from us at every one.
Most suppliers get one of those three right. Here's how we deliver all of them.
Full-colour sublimation on premium 6mm neoprene. Personalised stubby coolers for weddings, birthdays, bucks & hens nights, corporate events, and more — every custom stubby holder is made to your story.
Six interlocking threads distribute load across the full seam width — no single point of failure.
Mauser tape (bonded woven binding) wraps the outside edge, encasing the raw neoprene and locking the stitch in place. A cross stitch at each end secures the Mauser tape.
Survives years of use, washing, and the Australian summer.
A custom stubby cooler is supposed to do two things — keep your drink cold and last longer than the event it was made for. Most don't. Below is what we use, how we build them, and the questions people ask us most before they order.
Every stubby cooler we make is cut from 6 mm closed-cell neoprene — the real stuff. That's the same material wetsuits are built from — flexible, insulating, and water-resistant by nature. Most cheap stubby holders are 3–5 mm or made from open-cell foam that compresses out within a season. The 6 mm wall traps a thicker layer of insulating air between your hand and the can, keeps the chill where it belongs, and stops the stubby cooler from going floppy after a few washes.
That's why neoprene also takes a sublimation print better than any other coolable material. The dye bonds to the surface at a molecular level, which is why the artwork on a Stubby Hut stubby cooler doesn't crack, peel, or fade — even after a summer in the sun.
Because of this, every personalised stubby holder we ship is handmade on the Gold Coast — no outsourcing, no offshore mass-production. Here's what happens between you placing an order and the box landing on your doorstep:
We make personalised stubby coolers for every kind of occasion. One product, dozens of reasons to order it:
Most orders are turned around in 3–5 business days from the moment you approve the proof. Larger runs (50+ units) and corporate orders can take 7–10 business days. We'll always give you a firm date before we start production.
Neoprene is the wetsuit material — closed-cell, flexible, insulating, and water-resistant. Foam coolers (the cheap promotional ones) are open-cell, lose their structure quickly, and don't insulate nearly as well. Neoprene also takes a sublimation print, which is why the artwork lasts. If a stubby cooler costs $2, it's foam. If it lasts a decade, it's neoprene.
We cover every common Australian drink size — standard 375 ml cans and stubbies, slim cans (250–330 ml seltzers and pre-mixed drinks), longneck bottles, and skinny European-style bottles. Tell us what you're cooling and we'll match the stubby cooler to it.
Both work. Send us a print-ready file and we'll proof and produce it. Don't have artwork? Send a photo of the couple, the dog, or the logo and we'll draw or set it up for you. Custom illustrated portraits are an actual hand-drawn piece — not clip art, not a filter.
Yes — every state and territory, including regional and remote. Most metro deliveries arrive in 2–4 business days after dispatch. We'll send tracking the moment your order leaves the workshop on the Gold Coast.
Yes. We handle branded stubby coolers for breweries, sporting clubs, weddings, conferences, and trade shows. Volume pricing kicks in at 50 units. Email sales@stubbyhut.com.au with quantity, deadline, and a rough idea of artwork — we'll come back with a quote.
Cold hand wash, lay flat to dry. Don't put neoprene in the dryer or iron the printed face. Treated this way they last years — we've got customers using stubby coolers we made eight summers ago that still look the same.
Every stubby cooler is made to order and personalised, so we can't accept change-of-mind returns once production has started. If something arrives damaged or there's a fault on our end, we'll replace it — no argument. The proof step earlier in the process is there to catch design issues before anything is printed.
We handle bulk orders for corporate promos, trade shows, sporting clubs, breweries, and event planners. Volume pricing kicks in at 50 units — and we manage the whole job with proof-checked artwork and clear timelines.
